For me, Nurses- Apple’s Acre conjures up the idea of what Woods would sound like if they got a bit poppier and electric-instrument-happy. Thus, I am a fan, and I enjoy this album. You will too, if you have a soul, which I will admit I can imagine that some of our more frequent music downloading’ fiends do not. It’s all good though, you’re addicted, and we’re H1N1.

I have been listening to this record A LOT lately. Latest band of Mat Brooke, who you may remember from such other bands as Carissa’s Wierd and (early) Band of Horses. Tracks like Index Moon bring late 60′s pop (Beach Boys and the like) to mind, in an entirely awesome sense.

The Appleseed Cast

The album that introduced me to who are now one of my favourite bands. Peregrine is a great combination of post-rocky instrumental tracks and the more traditional atmospheric emo of The Appleseed Cast’s past.
